Horn Book Review
Cook Smurf needs one last egg to bake a cake, so Grouchy and Smiley head to Farmer Brown's--even though Grouchy hates chickens--and bring back one hiding a fluffy surprise. Scaredy is teased for his fearful ways until the others learn that "everyone is scared sometimes." The familiar blue cartoons just barely compensate for these slight stories' meandering plot lines.
