Booklist Review
Seventeen-year-old Angela Steinhart has had visions of disasters since she was twelve, but no one ever believes her. Her odious mother thinks that unattractive Angela has some bizarre power that she exerts to make the disasters happen as a way to get attention. When she has a heinous vision of a local mall blowing up on one of the busiest shopping days of the year, Angela is compelled to warn the mall management; and on the way, she bumps into Charlie Roman, the mall Santa, a disturbed loner who has planned a big holiday surprise. For a while it looks like Angela may be able to stop the disaster when she moves in with Charlie after nearly destroying her parents' home in a fit of pique. And at other intriguing moments it appears that the psychic and the psychotic may find romance in this quick-paced suspense thriller. --Diana Tixier Herald
