Summary
In the first book in this bestselling series, A Rant of Ravens, Christine Goff introduced readers to the thrill of birding-and the dangers that lurk in the hills of Colorado. Now, in her new novel, the owner of a posh hotel spots a killer at a distance-and finds herself too close to the crime for comfort…The trouble couldn't have come at a worse time. Lark Drummond's luxury hotel is packed with hundreds of birding convention-goers. Her employees are driving her crazy. And now her friend and business partner, Esther, has cancelled the hotel's coffee shipment-and refuses to explain why. To take her mind off her troubles, Lark agrees to accompany her friend Rachel Stanhope on an afternoon birdwatching excursion. But their outing turns ugly when Lark peers out of her spotting scope-and witnesses Esther's murder. With the help of the other members of their birdwatching club, she and Rachel set out to find the killer. But as suspects and motives pile up, it soon becomes clear that what they thought was a robbery gone bad was, in fact, something much more sinister….
