Booklist Review
A lush, romantic aura emanates from Newdick's beautifully illustrated guide to creating informally arranged floral designs for the home. In all, Newdick presents more than 100 ideas for seasonal displays that can be put together from one's own garden, the local florist, or both if necessary. From abundant bouquets ensconced in antique containers with warm patinas to single bulbs that bloom in clear glass vessels on a windowsill, gorgeous still-life arrangements abound in the exquisite color photography by Peter Williams. Newdick's insightful commentary as well as the delightful images make this a wonderful book to contemplate, whether looking for actual guidance or simply savoring the profusion of flower studies. --Alice Joyce
