In addition to being a prince of Abaddon, a Guardian, mate to a wyvern, and a demon lord, shape-shifting Aisling Grey is now pregnant and soon to be a wife. But every time Aisling and Drake try to get married, something happens he's arrested for terrorism; she's banished; he has to rescue his brother in the Himalayas; she has to stop an incursion of demons. As usual, her loyal demon Jim, who resembles a Newfoundland, is at her beck and call, albeit with a wry comment.
