Summary
Summary
Back in 1990, when John Javna self-published 50 Simple Things You Can Do to Save the Earth, the Green movement was still in its nascent stages. But this handy paperback, filled with tips and suggestions caught the public's imagination and became a phenomenon, empowering millions to actually be environmentalists in easy, doable ways. As awareness and concerns about the environment have grown, so has the scope and power of the 2008 version of 50 Simple Things.
Author Notes
John Javna has written countless books on political and environmental activism, as well as on popular culture (Uncle John's Bathroom Reader), which have sold many millions of copies.
Sophie Javna and Jesse Javna are both currently high school students and are excited to be writing their first book, one they hope will be a gift to the future of their own generation.
