Now that both of her sisters are married, Rachel King leaves Lancaster County to live with her cousin Sarah in Kentucky. She gets a job at a nearby stable and feels that she's finally found a measure of happiness. Meeting Jake, an attractive Englisher, Rachel is reluctant to accept his invitations but finally accepts. When Amish men begin to call on her, only to fall the victim to mysterious accidents, Rachel wonders if she was wrong to trust someone from such a different background. VERDICT Ellis's third series entry (after Living in Harmony and Love Comes to Paradise) is an authentic, character-driven romance that is sure to please fans of Cindy Woodsmall. (c) Copyright 2013.
