Author Notes

Kathy Henderson has written many books for children of all ages, including Lugalbanda, In the Middle of the Night, A Year in the City, Fearless Fitzroy, and The Little Boat, which won the Kurt Maschler Award and was short-listed for the Nestlé Smarties Children's Book Prize.

Lauren Tobia is the illustrator of several books for children, including the Anna Hibiscus books by Atinuke, Baby's Got the Blues by Carol Diggory Shields, and Happy in Our Skin by Fran Manushkin. She lives in a tiny house in Bristol, England.

Horn Book Review

This ebullient book is, at face value, a rhyming ode to babies on the go ("strolling in buggies and backpacks and slings, / rolling in store aisles in car seats and things"). But Tobia's art, depicting a bustling supermarket, a ride on a crowded bus, and more, turns it into a celebration of city life and families of many permutations. (c) Copyright 2017.
