School Library Journal Review
Gr 4-8-Each of these slim, high-interest titles offers some information on the history and equipment of the sport. Necessary skills, costs, and some experts' performances are also discussed. Inserts with interesting facts, dates of events, and information about participants dot the chapters. Dramatic, close-up color photographs of athletes in the air are found throughout both books. These pictures, along with the simple sentences, will make these titles appealing to reluctant readers. Each book contains a limited glossary and brief lists of book and Web resources and related organizations.-Janice C. Hayes, Middle Tennessee State University, Murfreesboro (c) Copyright 2010.
