Horn Book Review
When Cam, best pal Eric, and Cam's father arrive at the airport to greet Aunt Molly, they discover that the sleepy traveler has misplaced her shoes. Cam, as always, uses her photographic memory to solve the puzzle; her fans won't be far behind, thanks to Adler's not-too-difficult clues. Short sentences, gentle humor, and bright illustrations make for an accessible (albeit boilerplate) mystery. (c) Copyright 2010. The Horn Book, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Media Source, Inc. Booklist Review
Cam Jansen, her father, and her friend Eric go to the airport to meet her Aunt Molly, who seems forgetful, possibly jet-lagged, and even daffier than usual. As Aunt Molly gathers her belongings to go, she finds that her shoes are missing. Although Molly can't remember where her shoes might be, her young niece soon comes to the rescue. The fourteenth in the publisher's Easy-to-Read series about Cam, the book features a small-scale mystery with a logical solution. The attractive format includes large type, plenty of white space, and cheerful illustrations in full color. On the book's final page, Adler challenges readers to mimic Cam's famous photographic memory by looking at a certain picture carefully before turning back to answer questions about it. A short but satisfying mystery for young readers.--Phelan, Carolyn Copyright 2008 Booklist
