Gr 2-3-Two series entries that are equally simplified and somewhat generalized in content and approach. In less than 24 pages, information is given on history, past and present lifestyles, language, government, customs, religion, food, and clothing. One brief page is devoted to each topic; it faces a full-page photograph. Both books begin with a page of "Fast Facts," which further encapsulate the already brief information given throughout. Layout is appealing with large print and ample white space, and both black-and-white and full-color illustrations. Instructions for making a Stomp Dance costume appear in Chickasaw while Potawatomi concludes with a throwing game called "Woodpecker."
