These new entries prove that the long-running Nature's Children series (6 new titles) is as reliable as ever. Recently refreshed with updated cover and interior designs, these clear, informative texts are written in an engaging tone and illustrated with well-chosen photos, making them perfect for young researchers. Birds of Paradise describes these beautifully plumed birds and their diet, behavior, courtship, habitat (and how that habitat has shaped their physical characteristics), as well as dangers faced due to deforestation. Each title opens with a Fact File containing brief summaries on its animal's habitat, diet, size (with a helpful infographic), physical features, and classification. Large photographs and labeled body diagrams allow for an even closer view at the species discussed.
