Celebrating her tenth birthday with the most super sleepover ever, Mallory gets caught between a friend's over-the-top ideas and her parents' expectation that she'll act responsibly. From the arrival of unexpected guests to the splat of water balloons in the living room, things get out of hand, but Mallory manages to mop up her mistakes and grow up a bit as well. Friedman vividly portrays how small lapses of judgment lead to unintended consequences, as well as how to apologize with grace.
