Booklist Review

In this last volume of Soule's limited-run series, attorney Jennifer Walters continues to use both her intelligence and influence to help people, turning to her gamma-fueled superpowers when all else fails. In the book's most interesting story line, Walters must defend former Captain America Steve Rogers in a wrongful-death lawsuit, with attorney Matt Murdock acting on behalf of the plaintiff. As they battle in the courtroom, the arguments and counterpoints of both She-Hulk and Daredevil are as intricate and riveting as any action sequence. Since its creation, Soule has boldly focused far less on the sex appeal and destructiveness of She-Hulk compared to previous writers. Though this may have limited the green giantess' audience, Soule has nevertheless made the character so much richer in the process. Pulido's pop-art style is charmingly disarming and adds to the kitsch and overall humor. In the end, Soule has created something relatively rare in current mainstream comics a realistic superhero and a strong independent female lead.
