Horn Book Review
In her fifth adventure, Cammie wakes up in a convent with no memory of the past few months. After returning to her spy school, the Gallagher Academy, she and her friends travel to Rome to try to jog Cammie's memory--and they get closer to tracking down the nefarious Circle of Cavan. Lots of suspense and plot twists make this installment the best one yet. (c) Copyright 2012. The Horn Book, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Media Source, Inc. No redistribution permitted.
Booklist Review
In this latest Gallagher Girls adventure, Cammie Morgan finds herself not at the Gallagher Academy, a private school for young female spies, but in an alpine convent with no memory of how she got there. Her only clues are horrible, painful bruises all over her body, dirty fingernails, and the realization that she has completely missed the end of school and summer vacation. Now that her senior year has started, her best friends are terrified that they will lose her again, and her mother is begging her not to try to remember what happened, stating that some things are best forgotten. But Cammie, her spy boyfriend Zach, and her best friends gradually begin piecing together Cammie's terrifying summer, a summer that threatens to continue well into her senior year, as the Circle of Cavan will stop at nothing to get whatever it is that she has. Carter has written another Gallagher Girls page-turner chock full of spy trivia, private-school allure, BFFs, world travel, a bit of violence, and a touch of romance. It's a sure winner, especially when teens realize that the ending points to further adventures.--Bradburn, Frances Copyright 2010 Booklist
