Thea Stilton is back, presenting another adventure featuring her well-dressed students, known as the Thea Sisters, this time on an adventure at a chocolate factory. Paulina's old friend Antonio has opened his own chocolate plant, Cocoa Loco, in a small village in Ecuador, where he makes delicious chocolate candies using organic-farming methods passed on from his grandfather. When Cocoa Loco is nominated for the Chocolate Cup (a major award), several accidents involving fruit, sabotaged machinery, and bugs invading the cocoa plants threaten to eliminate the factory from the competition. It takes intuition and creativity for the Thea Sisters to save Cocoa Loco. Along the way, readers learn about locales in Ecuador, organic-farming methods, and chocolate production. Written in Stilton's trademark style of colorful illustrations (and the occasional funky font), along with a few helps along the way for solving the mystery, Chocolate Sabotage is a solid addition to this popular series for young readers.--Moore, Melissa Copyright 2014 Booklist
