Josh Altman was born on March 10, 1979 in Newton, Massachusetts. He is a graduate of Syracuse University in Speech Communications (2001). He is a real estate agent, real estate investor and can be seen on Bravo's hit reality show Million Dollar Listing. One of the famed Altman Brothers, he is a top-producing agent in Beverly Hills and is continually ranked as a top 25 Realtor in the country by numerous media outlets, for having sales over a billion dollars locally, nationally, and internationally. His book, It's Your Move: My Million Dollar Method for Taking Risks with Confidence and Succeeding at Work and Life, was released in September 2015. He lives in Los Angeles, California.

Altman, likely known to readers from Bravo's Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles advises how to use confidence to succeed in business and life. The author's three-point plan of "Ready, Fire, Aim" draws parallels between his real estate successes and the taking of dramatic risks, while telling stories on how to incorporate chance into various situations. "Ready" discusses how to better recognize and use gut feelings to make major decisions; "Fire" is all about execution and how occasionally pulling the trigger without a full plan is what leads to more opportunities; and "Aim" gives permission to reevaluate and change one's trajectory during this process. Although the book at times lacks in clarity and tangible advice, Altman's philosophy of following one's instinct through different career paths offers a perspective on how to be successful in all business endeavors.
