Library Journal Review
Browning (Glorious Gifts from Your Garden) has an artistic touch that sets her book apart from other books on scrapbooking. Her projects make good use of handmade paper, natural objects, and currently popular decorative techniques such as thermal embossing. Step-by-step instructions are given for making bindings and lacing entirely from scratch. Kirschner Braun approaches scrapbooking from the perspective of the genealogist and family historian. In addition to advice on mounting and preserving documents and photos (make copies), she has a chapter of genealogy basics with forms and practical information. The book is beautifully illustrated with Kirschner Braun's own family material. Both books are excellent additions to public library collections. (c) Copyright 2010.
